{Chris and Katie's Wedding}

I knew that Chris and Katie's wedding day was going to be awesome.  I knew that it was not a wedding where I would stress.  I knew that it was not a day to worry about things possibly going wrong.  Because, for Chris and Katie, there is no wrong.  There are no lost items or late people or wrong food.  There is only a new adventure and bumps in the road that they happily laugh about and work through.  They are certainly one couple to always feel joy around, because that is all they accept in their hearts...joy.  I remember driving over to Chris' hotel room to shoot he and his groomsmen getting ready (Katie and her maids were getting ready at my studio, about 2 miles from where Chris was at the Dayton Marriott).  I pulled in and trudged upstairs to his suite.  Upon arrival I said, "This is a beautiful day, Chris!  Gorgeous weather...a great day to marry Katie!"  He looked at me, cocked his head and said, "Every day is a great day to marry Katie."  I knew he meant it.   He grabbed my hand and told me how much it meant to him to have Erica and I spending the day with he and Katie, and I felt an overwhelming sense of trust in me behind his eyes.  Even though I was not feeling stress, it made me want to do my absolute best, push myself harder than normal, exceed their expectations!  I hope I did.  Their Carillon Park bridge nuptials were greeted with just the right amount of breeze for the crystal chandelier hanging over their heads.  And, their first dance gave us all goosebumps as they held each other as the sun went down.  It was a day filled with perfect vintage details to compliment the antique box cars in the Transportation Center, where guests enjoyed food, drinks and merriment, celebrating a union of true friendship.  Thank you, Chris and Katie, for having Cherry Grapes Photography shoot your wedding day!  It was truly unforgettable.

Time for the First Glance!  It doesn't happen often, but she said, "I want him to come to me!"
